Overview of Zimbabwe

On the 12th July 2011 a new charitable trust came into being, to bring help to the poorest and most vulnerable members of Zimbabwean society.

The Trust aims to work together with other Christian individuals, Churches, and organisations both in Zimbabwe and the UK in achieving its aims.

The goals of the trust are:
  • To provide training and resources for Christians in Zimbabwe.
  • To alleviate poverty in the short term by sending material aid and practical assistance.
  • To reduce dependence on aid in the longer term by assisting with livelihood projects and sustainable agriculture schemes.
  • To give particular help to Pastors and church leaders to help them to come to a closer understanding of scripture, and countering error.
  • To help with the rescue and care of orphans.

For many years the churches in Zimbabwe have been working valiantly together in dealing with the ongoing crisis, with only limited help from outside. This is a remarkable witness to non-Christians in seeing the love of Christ practically demonstrated with a wonderful display of unity.

We would like the trust to raise awareness of the situation there, and partner with Christians in Zimbabwe by channelling aid to where it is needed most.

The new trust is committed to upholding and promoting the 1689 Baptist Confession Of Faith. The truths expressed and stated in this document have been a blessing and help in strengthening the faith of generations of Christians, and our prayer is that a greater understanding of these truths will be a similar blessing to the present day church in Zimbabwe.

Several visits have already been made to Zimbabwe to conduct pastors' workshops and provide humanitarian assistance. We hope to make further visits as time and finance permit.
