Letter to the churches
20th March 2012
Dear Christian Friends,
Will you help us?
We are a group of Evangelical Christians engaged in helping our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe at this time of their acute need.
We do this by: -
- Sending money for emergency relief,
- Arranging training/preaching workshops for pastors, and students and sending speakers from the UK to speak at those workshops.
- Assisting with livelihood projects to reduce dependence on long-term aid.
- Supporting the work of rescuing and caring for orphans.
The Christians of Zimbabwe demonstrate a remarkable united witness, by working together to meet the desperate needs created by famine, HIV and unemployment in their communities. We believe it is our duty and privilege to support them in this work by sending help from the UK
We are sending this letter out to raise awareness of this need, and to ask whether your church will consider supporting us in this work.
We are holding a recognition service for Zimbabwe Partnership Trust on Sat 21st April 2012 (poster here) and would like to invite you to come along and meet us, to hear more about the work first hand.
If you would like to know more, or can help in any way please get in touch with myself or with any of our trustees below.
With Christian greetings
Jon Spalding
